2025 YEAR END REVIEW

VENUES: Not much has changed on the live venue front so we are fortunate to have the following dependable spots. Our evenings would be duller without them:  Xeroz, The Laundromat, Tide & Boar, The Holy Whale, Casino NB, Avenir Centre, The Capitol Theatre and The Empress.

BANDS: Purple Knight have recorded a track for an upcoming tribute album whose details will remain confidential for the moment... Earth AD recently played their first show in a few years at the T-Bone Benefit gig alongside local rockers The Monoxides and The Motorleague. We're not sure if they have anything else planned, but it would be a treat to see them gig again... East End Rivals have been in the studio. No word yet on if they are planning a release... Word is that Sintax Error have been rehearsing again with JP Thibodeau (ex-Idea of North) replacing Helium aka Marc Thériault on bass...  New band alert: Jimmy Underground are a new high energy quartet featuring Helium (ex-Sintax Error, Papa Ya!) on guitar and lead vocals and Fred Hétu (ex The Mean, Lardass, Sintax Error) on drums. They are currently in the studio with Vivianne Roy (Hay Babies) behind the controls and have been playing quite regularly...  Babyland aka Sammy Klacker hosted several outdoor generator shows under the Gunningsville Bridge during the warmer months, here's hoping for a continuation next year... Local punkers Another Dose have reportedly split... Yves Bourque and Gino LeBlanc formerly of Exotic Gypsy have been writing together for the first time in decades... Délusion and ExMinister are two new bands that are belting out the sound of 1990's new school punk...

Rick White & The Sadies - Live At The Great Hall  2LP  (Rick's first public performance in many years paying tribute to longtime friend and Sadies member Dallas Good. A spectacular performance)

Rick White - Again  LP  (Moncton expat Rick White is undoubtedly one of the best contemporary voices in the psychedlic underground. This is album is real treat and is perhaps his best to date)
